UltraWatt Energy Systems and EnerNOC Enter Into Cooperative Marketing & Support Arrangement

BOSTON, MA – UltraWatt Energy Systems, Inc. (Ultrawatt) and EnerNOC, Inc. announced today that they have entered into a cooperative marketing and support arrangement to serve commercial, industrial, and municipal customers throughout the Northeast. UltraWatt is the world's leading manufacturer of advanced control technologies for lighting systems. EnerNOC is a leading provider of software, data communications, and packaged managed services to the distributed generation market.

"UltraWatt and EnerNOC both address a similar customer base, but in decidedly different fashions," says Marc Sandofsky, President of Global Management Group, Unlimited, Inc. (GMG), the exclusive sales and marketing agent for UltraWatt. "UltraWatt's PowerGate technology allows users to reduce lighting-related energy use under normal operating conditions, and to go into a curtailment mode during declared energy emergencies. EnerNOC's proprietary software and hardware allow operators in the company's 24 x 7 Network Operations Center (NOC) to remotely monitor and power up clients' onsite generators during these emergencies, capture their real-time energy information, and transmit this and other load curtailment data directly to the power grid operators via the Internet. By enlisting the services of both companies, customers stand to realize a greatly increased demand-response revenue stream."

EnerNOC's CEO Tim Healy adds, "EnerNOC's software and services allow customers to concentrate on their core business rather than assuming the responsibilities of a power provider. Our full-service model means that we handle everything from A to Z, including the permitting, generator testing, and emergency response. This model also benefits a company like UltraWatt, which has a state-of-the-art technology that is well suited for demand response programs, but has no desire to provide the ancillary services and systems necessary for their customers to participate in these programs. By addressing this market together in a cooperative effort, both EnerNOC and UltraWatt stand to benefit."
