EnerNOC Delivers Over 100% Performance in First Canadian Demand Response Event

EnerNOC Successfully Executes First-Ever Ontario Power Authority DR3 Event

BOSTON, MA and Mississauga, Ontario, August 20, 2008 - EnerNOC, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENOC), a leading developer and provider of clean and intelligent energy solutions, today announced that it successfully delivered demand response capacity in the first Ontario Power Authority (OPA) DR3 event. During the event, which was called by the OPA on August 18th, EnerNOC provided more than 100% of its enrolled capacity and more than half of the total amount of megawatts delivered to the OPA.

“EnerNOC’s performance during the first ever DR3 event adds to our strong track record of delivering on our commitments, making demand response a reliable alternative to traditional, fossil-fuel burning power plants,” said EnerNOC’s Chairman and CEO, Tim Healy.

EnerNOC announced its contract to provide the OPA up to 25 MW of demand response capacity on April 2, 2008. This contract is designed to provide a clean energy resource to help alleviate strain on the electricity grid and stabilize wholesale electricity prices. EnerNOC continues to actively recruit businesses and institutions for its Ontario Lights the Way™ demand response network as part of the DR3 program, which just went live on August 1st and which the OPA expects will rapidly grow. Participating businesses and institutions receive payments from EnerNOC for agreeing to reduce electricity use during DR3 events.
