Alliance for Clean Energy New York The Alliance for Clean Energy New York promotes renewable electricity technologies and energy efficiency to improve the energy landscape, increase economic development, and reduce pollution in New York state. Association of Energy Engineers, New England Chapter The Association of Energy Engineer’s mission is to promote the scientific and educational interest of those engaged in the energy industry, foster cooperative action in advancing the common purposes of its members, and promote activities designed to improve the industry’s economy and efficiency. Association of Energy Services Professionals The Association of Energy Services Professionals is a not-for-profit organization committed to the professional advancement of energy services professionals. Building Commissioning Association The Building Commissioning Association (BCA) is dedicated to developing a common, industry-wide understanding of effective building commissioning, while allowing for diverse and creative approaches. California Independent System Operator (CAISO) The California Independent System Operator (CAISO) is a not-for-profit public-benefit corporation charged with operating the majority of California’s high-voltage wholesale power grid. Balancing the demand for electricity with an equal supply of megawatts, CAISO is the impartial link between power plants and the utilities that serve more than 30 million consumers. CAISO provides equal access to the grid for all qualified users and strategically plans for the transmission needs of this vital infrastructure. California Manufacturers & Technology Association The California Manufacturers & Technology Association works with state regulators and policy makers to support California manufacturing, processing, and technology companies. COMPETE is a national advocacy coalition of electricity stakeholders who support policies that promote reliable, low-cost electric power through competitive electricity markets. Demand Response and Advanced Metering Coalition (DRAM) The Demand Response and Advanced Metering Coalition (DRAM) is an association of public interest groups, demand response technology companies, utilities, and other parties focused on demand response education and outreach. Its mission is to be a source of information, data, and expertise in demand response and to provide a diverse forum for policy makers, demand response practitioners, demand response providers, and other interested parties to exchange ideas and experiences. ENERGY STAR is a government-backed program helping businesses and individuals protect the environment through superior energy efficiency. Mid-Atlantic Distributed Resource Initiative (MADRI) The public utility commissions of Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, along with the U.S. Department of Energy and PJM Interconnection, have established the Mid-Atlantic Distributed Resource Initiative (MADRI) to develop regional policies and market-enabling activities that support distributed generation and demand response in the Mid-Atlantic region. The initiative is intended to create a more favorable market environment for distributed generation and demand response. New England Power Pool (NEPOOL) The New England Power Pool (NEPOOL), together with ISO New England, is responsible for the region’s electric bulk power generation and transmission system. New York Energy Consumers Council (NYECC) New York Energy Consumers Council (NYECC) is the largest energy customer advocacy organization in New York State. NYECC works to minimize electric, gas, and steam rates, pushes for the competition needed to get the best energy pricing, and works to expand incentive programs for energy efficiency and economic development programs. New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) is a not-for-profit organization formed in 1998 as part of the restructuring of New York State’s electric power industry. Its mission is to ensure the reliable, safe, and efficient operation of New York’s major transmission system and to administer an open, competitive, and nondiscriminatory wholesale market for electricity in New York State. Competition in New York’s wholesale electricity market is expected to result in lower overall electricity costs for New Yorkers. PJM Interconnection ensures the reliability of the high-voltage electric power system serving 51 million people in all or parts of Delaware, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia. PJM coordinates and directs the operation of the region’s transmission grid, which includes 3,660 substations and 56,070 miles of transmission lines; administers the world’s largest competitive wholesale electricity market; and plans regional transmission expansion improvements to maintain grid reliability and relieve congestion. Peak Load Management Alliance (PLMA) The Peak Load Management Alliance (PLMA) includes leading companies in electric generation, retail energy services, load aggregation, power exchange, demand response systems, metering equipment, grid operations, market management, and information technologies. The purpose of the alliance is to create a community of expertise on demand response and its role in creating efficient electricity markets.
