Position Description:
EnerNOC has an immediate need for an Energy Procurement Analyst, with 0-3 years of experience, reporting to the Senior Manager of Energy Procurement Services (EPS). The Energy Procurement Analyst will have an analytical background with course work in Mathematics, Accounting, Finance and Economics. The successful candidate will bring an entrepreneurial sprit and a desire to learn the energy industry.
EnerNOC’s mission is to provide capacity to the grid by reducing customers’ electricity consumption on an emergency basis and to help customers source their commodity supply in competitive markets. We support this mission through client/consultant relationship assisting our clients with budgeting, market knowledge, price discovery and competitive supply.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Energy Procurement Analyst includes energy market trend analysis which aids the development of client procurement strategies and working with senior team members to formulate energy budgets for single and multiple site clients.
Specific Responsibilities:
- North American energy market trend analysis
- Ensure world class customer service by responding to customer (internal & external) needs and keeping them abreast of market developments.
- Database and customer budget and contract management.
- Sharp financial analysis skills are a requirement for this solution-oriented business.
Required Qualifications/Skills/Education:
- B.S. /B.A. in Mathematics, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or Economics. MBA a plus
- Superior computer skills including Windows and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong self-motivation with the ability to work in a fast paced, forward moving environment.
- Ability to organize, remain productive, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a driven environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be analytical, detail-oriented and well organized as well as be able to establish priorities, determine accountabilities, and meet deadlines.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel locally as needed
- Great attention to detail and ability to follow through on assigned tasks
- Must be a real “team player” with a “can-do” attitude with a solutions oriented personality
