EnerNOC has an immediate need for a Sales/Business Development Manager with at least 5 years experience to be based in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and/or New York.
This job requires extensive regional travel meeting with customers, attending trade shows, and representing the company. Successful managers can expect to earn $100,000 to $140,000 per year working in a progressive and rapidly growing business in a rapidly growing industry with world-class teammates.

| Key Responsibilities: |
- Prospecting and converting leads into profitable business relationships
- Analyzing customer energy and facility data to understand a company's energy management needs
- Working with EnerNOC’s portfolio of offerings, develop solutions that solve the customer's business problems
- Preparing and presenting financial and sales proposals and presentations offering energy procurement, management solutions, and energy strategies to current and prospective customers
- Negotiating and closing contracts for energy management-related services with direct customers
- Advising EnerNOC’s marketing team on how to continuously improve product offerings and go-to-market strategies

| Required Qualifications/Skills/Education: |
- The successful candidate must have significant experience
in developing high-quality customer relationships and closing sales
of energy solutions, energy hardware, energy software, or energy
management services in the commercial, institutional, and/or industrial
markets. Candidates will have a track record of developing strong customer
relationships while meeting and exceeding sales quotas. Candidates must
possess a minimum of five years of relevant work experience, at least
three of which involve direct business-to-business sales.

| Additional Qualifications/Skills/Education: |
- Ideal candidates will have come from the field sales team of an energy supplier, an energy technology provider, an engineering consulting firm, or an unregulated or regulated division or subsidiary of a utility. A candidate bringing a book of business and/or an established network of target market contacts to the company is a definite plus, especially one with a significant contact base in the greater Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland markets. Preferred backgrounds include experience in the energy space, such as energy supply, procurement, energy software, electrical hardware, or billing and tariff analysis. Candidates with four-year engineering degrees as well as candidates with experience selling software solutions are preferred. Sharp financial analysis skills are a requirement for this solution-oriented sale.
- This individual should be a confident and professional self-starter,
a good listener, comfortable interfacing with senior level leadership,
aggressive in finding and closing business, focused on meeting the
customer's needs, and work well within a team of sales managers in a
rapidly growing business.
