EnerNOC's commitment to corporate and environmental responsibility

EnerNOC is deeply committed to environmental stewardship and actively strives to make the world cleaner and greener for future generations.

In October 2006, EnerNOC became a carbon neutral company—the first in the energy management industry. EnerNOC offsets 100% of our carbon footprint with Green-e® certified wind, solar, and other renewable energy credits. Our carbon footprint includes our daily business operations and all of our customers' backup generation assets.

EnerNOC performed a comprehensive analysis of our carbon footprint—electricity consumption in all EnerNOC offices and vehicle and aircraft emissions from all business travel—as well as emissions from our customers' backup generators. As a carbon neutral company, we effectively power our business operations and our customers' backup generators with green, renewable energy.

EnerNOC also offers a Green! Green! employee benefits program, rewarding employees for installing energy-efficient compact fluorescent light bulbs, commuting environmentally (walk, bike, take public transportation, car pool, or drive a hybrid), replacing old appliances with energy efficient equivalents, conducting home energy audits, and influencing family and friends to follow EnerNOC's environmental stewardship.

"Our employees are excited to work here and look at themselves as revolutionaries changing the environment and energy consumption."
